Thanksgiving Food!

I am looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my family in Bloomington, Indiana. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to eat a lot, and also spend quality time with family! What foods do you eat for Thanksgiving?

My mom usually makes the following:

turkey
mashed potatoes
gravy to go on the potatoes and turkey
cranberry salad
broccoli casserole
sweet potatoes
date pudding
the best rolls ever [shaped like a croissant]
pumpkin pie

Please comment on this and let me know what foods you and your family eat.

Being a Duke Blue Devils fan, I was sad to see Harrison Barnes sign with the University of North Carolina. I was thinking and hearing all along that everyone assumed that he would choose Duke. He would have been a great addition!

I really appreciate President Obama, and I think he’s doing a super job!

I like the health care bill that’s being proposed, and I feel that we need to pass that soon!

Many who oppose it are people who have no clue about the amount of people who are affected by the high cost of health care.

President Obama is doing a super job!

Our country needs to support him!

Election Day November 2009

I guess my town skipped Election Day 2009. My work place usually serves as a voting site, but no one came today to vote, and no poll workers were there. It was odd!

don’t believe the cook county emails!

Many of you may have gotten an email showing prison photos. These photos make the prison look really posh, glitzy, and glamorous. The email claims that this is the new Cook County Correctional Facility in Illinois. The email claims that President Obama donated money to the prison that is pictured. Problem is… it’s simply not true. They instead depict a Justice/Detention center in Leoben, Australia.

This is just another example of people spreading non-truth about our President. I truly believe that President Obama is doing a super job, and that he loves our country, so let’s support him, pray for him, love him, and give him the respect he deserves by only telling the truth about him!

Decisions Are So Hard!

Why is making decisions on what to do easier said than done? Sometimes I decide way in advance to do something. I am horrible at keeping commitments, so if a sweeter deal comes up than what I’ve already decided to do, I’ll try and back out and go for the sweeter deal. If I have a trip to a game with a friend scheduled, but a chance to go and feast at a Chinese buffet comes up, I’m craving the Chinese buffet like a caffeine addict craves coffee, pop, tea, or chocolate.

Sometimes, I will decide to not do something, and then later regret it. Decisions are so hard to make. Some people are good at making commitments and sticking to them. Such people can volunteer to help pull weeds at a neighbor’s house, and then not be swayed when their best friends calls up on the phone to go to an amusement park. That is SO NOT me… I wish it was!
